Authorities in southern California said a bonfire built by a group of college students caused a wildfire that destroyed more than 200 homes, injuring more than two dozen people.
Dry weather and Santa Ana winds only added fuel to the fire, and if those conditions provide any measure of danger, Central Texas could be next.
