LCRA increases wholesale rates

The Lower Colorado River Authority on Wednesday approved rate increases for wholesale water and wastewater that will affect residential and retail customers in Williamson, Travis and Hays counties.

Agency officials said the rate hikes, which differ for each customer based on specific increases in the cost of service, are necessary to recoup the increased costs that the LCRA incurs to provide water and wastewater services.
