Council approves Master Plan for Barton Springs

The Austin City Council approved a master plan for the Barton Springs Pool Thursday.

The plan outlines improvements for the spring-fed pool including: new restrooms on the east side of the pool, renovating the current bath house, burying power lines and improving water quality at the pool.

So far the city had set aside about $6 million for short term improvements. The other roughly $12-$15 million is unfunded.
