From statesman, December 15, 2008...
Out on 620 and 2222, some signs say RM (ranch-to-market) and others call the roads FM (farm-to-market). Is it RM 2222 or FM 2222? And at 620 and Texas 71, there's a green sign overhead calling it U.S. 71, which is a road in Louisiana and Texarkana. What's up with all of that?
Well, human error mostly. The "U.S. 71" sign in Bee Cave is a mistake, as are all of the signs that say FM 2222 and FM 620. There are also some I saw, mostly on minor side roads, that call it RR 620, as in "ranch road." The proper designations are RM 620 and RM 2222.

County begins improvements on RM 620
From KXAN.com, June 1, 2008...
Williamson County will begin interim improvements to RM 620 in June. The improvements will increase safety and mobility on RM 620, which handles between 35,000 and 38,000 cars on average per day. The project has a 120-day schedule and will require limited night-time single lane closures during paving operations.
Right turn lanes on RM 620 will be added at the intersections with Wyoming Springs, Oaklands and Deepwood roads. In addition, pedestrian crossings will be improved to enhance safety and increase ADA accessibility at the intersections of O'Connor and Luckenwald, Liberty Walk and Manheim streets.

RM 620 to get improvements next month
From statesman.com, May 22, 2008...
Here's hoping that by the end of this summer, RM 620 will be a little less congested.
At least that's the thinking of Williamson County officials, who will be authorizing improvements next month to the heavily traveled road that serves as a major east-west thoroughfare in Round Rock.
