Fleet operators overseeing forklifts, school buses and work trucks in 34 Texas counties now have access to a $12 million grant from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality to equip their vehicles with ultra-low emissions equipment fueled by propane gas.
Fleet operators overseeing forklifts, school buses and work trucks in 34 Texas counties now have access to a $12 million grant from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality to equip their vehicles with ultra-low emissions equipment fueled by propane gas.
The grant was awarded to the Texas Railroad Commission, which will administer the funds. The source of the funding is the Texas Emissions Reduction Plan — a program created seven years ago with the intent of reducing emissions in the state of Texas to improve air quality.
