One archeological spot isn't oceans away.
The Gault Project is an important excavation site in Central Texas, which is one of the most remarkable locations to excavate materials. The site is used by an internationally known group of researchers working on a multi-component stratified site that was occupied for 11,000 years.
October is Texas Archeological Awareness Month and some Bell County residents took an adventure through the Gault site.
