Hays County commissioners voted on Oct. 1 to pledge $5 million to the Dahlstrom Ranch conservation easement, a huge step forward in sealing that land’s future as preserved green space.
The tract at the southwest corner of FM 1626 and FM 967 in Hays County spans approximately 2,400 acres, and is estimated to have a market value of approximtely $50 million, as reported by the Austin Business Journal on Dec. 14, 2007.
