Union workers at the Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority have announced they will strike beginning 3:15 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 5. Workers with the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1091 rejected the transit agency’s latest contract offer earlier this week.
No further talks are currently scheduled between the union and Amalgamated. Terry Garcia Crews, the general manager at Capital Metro unit who supervises union workers, issued a letter this week proffering Nov. 7 as a day to resume talks.
