Group to hold free training on watershed protection

Williamson County residents will have the opportunity to learn about local water conservation at a free workshop Tuesday in Georgetown.

People who attend the training will learn about watersheds and how to improve water quality. The training will focus on Granger Lake, Lake Georgetown and the San Gabriel River. The river is widely used for recreational activities, and Lake Granger has become an important source of drinking water for eastern county residents.
