Capital Metro began testing on the new MetroRail cars this week, preparing for the rail's opening in late 2008. The initial tests, which were performed Monday through Wednesday, were the first step toward the line becoming operational.
“There's a lot of testing that goes on,” said Misty Whited, public relations specialist for Capital Metro. “We'll be testing all the way up to next year. After that, we'll begin operator training.”
