TOD, roads, rail, development will take shape
For Leander, 2008 is going to be a year of growing pains, which will pave the way for an exciting 2009.
“I feel like ‘08 is going to still be modest,” said Leander Economic Director Kirk Clennan. “I believe that horizontal construction is going to lead to a great ‘09.”The coming year will be filled mostly with continued planning and road construction, which will provide a solid infrastructure for new developments, especially within the transit-oriented development.
One of the key projects within the TOD, the Leander Transit Village, is on hold pending the completion of County Road 273, according to Lance Hughes of Hughes Capital Management.
