The drought it taking its toll on everyone, but one man in Dripping Springs, who relies on the rain says his rainwater collection system will dry up soon.
“The tanks are about half full,” Ray Franklin said.
He installed his system eight years ago and counts on his rainwater collection system as his only resource for water. ‘We'll get a quarter inch here, half an inch there,” he said.
With no measurable rain to speak of in 17 months, Franklin says his tanks are about to dry up. But he says that’s only half the problem, with farmers and ranchers also dealing with dry conditions.
