Williamson County budget requests up from last year

Even though the Williamson County district attorney's office handles all of the county's felony cases, a lot of civil paperwork has to be done daily, District Attorney John Bradley said.

Everything from civil subpoenas to open records requests to lawsuits bog down his attorneys, whose expertise is not in civil law, Bradley said.

"We've just sort of been getting along by distributing this among five or six lawyers as additional duties," he said. "It's come to the point where all of these duties amount to a full-time job."
