Williamson animal shelter inquiry finds no signs of cruelty

Sheriff's detectives spent more than 500 hours investigating allegations of animal cruelty at the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter, only to find that none took place last June.

The allegations against the county shelter in Georgetown, which opened in March 2007, were brought forward in June by a witness who claimed to have seen a rabid mother cat and kittens in dirty cages and called the situation shocking.
