Leander says no to mulching facility

One Leander business with a reputation for providing a good service in disaster relief around the country has been denied a permit by the city of Leander.

TFR Enterprises, which helps clean up disaster sites after catastrophes both large and small, applied for a permit that would allow it to build a mulching facility on a plot of land the company owns on U.S. Highway 183. The land is adjacent to the railroad track and across the street from Leander Middle School.

The city saw more than just a mulching facility.
