Confirmed salmonella cases in Texas jumps to 35

Health officials have confirmed 35 cases of salmonella in Texas since a multi-state outbreak thought to stem from raw tomatoes started in mid-April.

The number of confirmed Texas cases jumped from 21 since Tuesday.

Health officials were still investigating the cause of the outbreak, but targeted consumption of raw tomatoes as the likely source.
