CAMPO awards funds for Williams Drive project

The Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization awarded $8.8 million for improvements to Williams Drive from D.B. Wood Road to .3 miles west of FM 3405, a total project length of 3.5 miles. The road improvement project is a partnership between the City of Georgetown and Williamson County.

The project includes an expansion to a four-lane road with a two-way left turn lane. A right turn lane will be constructed approaching D.B. Wood Road. The proposed roadway will have 10-foot shoulders throughout. The road will also receive grading, drainage improvements, asphalt paving, signage, signalization and striping.
