School officials have a difficult decision on their hands as they consider the grade configuration for Leander ISD High School #5 - especially since parents and prospective students appear to have very different opinions based on recent surveys.
High School #5 will open in 2009 as either a ninth grade-only high school or with both ninth and 10th grades. LISD Trustees discussed the issue at their April 3 board meeting, but made no decision. Superintendent Bret Champion said he will study the grade configuration issue and bring back a recommendation to the board in May.
