A zoning proposal that would have paved the way for $3.5 million in private funds for water, wastewater and other needed utilities to the east side of Leander was voted down at Thursday night's regularly scheduled city council meeting.
KB Homes has proposed the development of Winding Creek subdivision, which would have a plethora of homes blended with commercial retail on the east side of the Reagan-Parmer corridor. Representatives from KB Homes said homes in Winding Creek would be similar to those in the Silverado subdivision on the east side of Cedar Park.
