From The Austin Business Journal December 20, 2007...
HelioVolt Corp. is expected to announce plans Thursday that it will locate its initial manufacturing facility in Austin.
The company will lease the 122,400 square feet Expo 8 building that Trammell Crow Co. recently completed at Expo Business Park in Southeast Austin, near Montopolis Drive and Burleson Road, as previously reported in the Austin Business Journal earlier this year.
HelioVolt founder and CEO B.J. Stanbery says he expects the company to move in next year pending completion of city permits and bring up operations shortly after.
The decision ends a months-long period of suspense about the future of the homegrown clean tech company, heralded by city leaders as the most successful start-up in recent Austin history.
