The Texas House of Representatives passed a bill that would allocate $91 million per fiscal year for the Texas Rail Relocation and Improvement Fund.
An amendment to Senate Bill 1, the state budget bill, was offered by Rep. Ruth McClendon, D-San Antonio, and Rep. Charlie Geren, R-Fort Worth. On April 18, the House passed the budget bill 149-0.
The amendment now goes back to the full Senate for approval.
