The extreme drought conditions over the past year are likely to limit the amount of bluebonnets Central Texas sees this spring; however, the recent rain in the past few weeks should boost late season flowers.
"Black-eyed Susans and Indian blankets," said Damon Waitt, a senior botanist at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. "I think those will put on a really good show this year."
