Austin chef will open new restaurant at 360 condos

From Austin Business Journal, January 21, 2009...

A new restaurant from longtime Austin chef David Garrido will open at the 360 condo tower in the spring.

Garrido, who served as the chef of Jeffrey’s in the Clarksville neighborhood for 16 years, has leased the largest retail space at the downtown condo development for his namesake restaurant, Garrido’s. The 3,362-square-foot restaurant will have a deck overlooking Shoal Creek and access to an outdoor plaza on Third Street.

Garrido plans a unique menu with specialty dishes like coffee-marinated rib-eye tacos with chipotle and horseradish, mojo de ajo shrimp with mango salsa and peanut butter-chocolate sorbet with a pepita tuile. Garrido’s will focus on using fresh, local ingredients in its dishes.
