South Central Texas drought worsens

From KEYE, December 5, 2008...

The National Weather Service says the parched area between Austin and New Braunfels has reached an "exceptional" drought level. That's the most severe on the Weather Service drought scale.


Forecasters reclassified the area yesterday. They say there's little prospect for rain in the area, meaning nearby communities probably will succumb to exceptional drought levels.
