Cedar fever season arrives

The annual scourge is back. The pollen count Sunday was low at 133 grains per cubic meter, and Monday's count was 60, according to KVUE forecasters. Pollen counts under 500 are considered low, and anything more than 1,000 is considered high, according to KVUE's allergy site.

The station's site Monday said warm, sunny conditions Saturday caused the pollen to show up for the first time this winter from Ashe Juniper trees, launching the season that many Austinites dread.
