Chris Heisler, an information technology manager from Leander, spends most of his spare time making sure that a U.S. flag makes its way around the country.
It's not an ordinary flag, he says. It's the one that was flying over the Texas Capitol on Sept. 11, 2001.
The flag has since been flown in Iraq and Afghanistan and at numerous sporting events and memorial services. Heisler said the Honor Network, a nonprofit group he is working to form with his wife and friends, hopes to have the flag flown at the next presidential inauguration.
