Developers of Villa Muse, a proposed entertainment production complex in eastern Travis County with a substantial residential component, said Monday that discussions with the City of Austin have officially ended.
The developers had asked Austin officials to release the 2,000-acre site from its taxing and regulatory authority for years, saying the project would not be built without the exemption. City officials had rejected that proposal but said they were open to discussing alternatives.
