Russell Schmidt, a farmer in Coupland, hopes that recent repairs on a historical bridge near town will make drivers appreciate its value.
The bridge that crosses Brushy Creek on County Road 456 was closed April 4 after county officials found that it had some rusted spots. Officials say the rust makes the bridge unsafe for heavy loads to cross.
