Some of his guests come to spend the night in a unique room high in the tranquil trees. But most of David Beilharz's visitors come by day for the sometimes less peaceful, scream-as-you-go high-flying adventure in the treetops of his Spicewood, Texas property.
Hooked on the zip line experience in Costa Rica several years ago, Beilharz went out on a limb and invested a lot of money to bring the same thrill to the cypress canopy in the Hill Country, where he opened Cypress Valley Canopy Tours. Since then, he has seen other high-wire acts spring up all over the place.
