Farmers Market Site For Sale Again

A prime piece of real estate on Burnet Road is back on the market, just seven months after being purchased by local businessman Paz Dhody, who had said he planned to redevelop the spot.

Dhody, who bought the Travis County Farmers' Market in September, told the county and neighbors at the time that he would redevelop the 2.3-acre property at 6701 Burnet Road. He said he intended to put a restaurant and acoustic music venue on the premises, for which he paid $2.25 million.

In following months, Dhody's redevelopment plans stalled, and some tenants, including the popular Brentwood Tavern, left.
