Leander's biggest clothing retailer may just be inside a grocery store - next to a deli, several fruit stands and some party supplies. H-E-B plus! has the monopoly on many retail items in Leander, but a new giant will soon be coming nearby.
Leander Crossing - a planned mixed-use project that will gobble up more than 150 acres, partly in the TOD - is scheduled to break ground for 1,100 single-family and multi-family units sometime this year, with even bigger commercial development beginning in 2009.
