Three Williamson County cities got approval Monday for a $309 million loan that will help them eventually pump up to 141 million gallons of water a day from Lake Travis.
The Cedar Park, Leander and Round Rock water project has drawn the ire of some Lake Travis residents and has caused water bills to jump in the three cities, which plan to pay for the entire $330 million project through raised water rates.
