In what it bills as an effort to give Texas residents a greater role in developing statewide transportation corridors, the Texas Department of Transportation's Texas Transportation Commission is creating citizen advisory committees.
Initially the commission will form two advisory committees, one focused on the I-35 corridor and the Trans-Texas Corridor 35 and one focused on the planned I-69 corridor and I-69/TTC. Each committee will look at the projects' overall development, TxDOT officials say.
