A homeowners group found a unique way to encourage law enforcement to patrol a large greenbelt running through its subdivision between Cedar Park and Leander: They paid for the mountain bikes that sheriff's deputies need to navigate the terrain.
The group of Block House Creek homeowners bought three Trek mountain bikes last month.
