The Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority is taking a brief winter break from testing its new commuter rail trains.
The trains, which began their testing on Dec. 17 and ran for four days, will resume running again on Jan. 7, says Adam Shaivitz, a spokesman for Cap Metro. That break has been planned all along, he says, because the trains Swiss manufacturer Stadler Bussnang AG must be present for the testing. Stadler is on a holiday break.
